Obama Under Secretary Is ACE’s Next President

Inside Higher Ed
Ted Mitchell was recently announced as the next leader of the American Council on Education. Mitchell previously worked as a top higher ed official in the Obama administration. He will replace Molly Broad, the ACE’s first woman president, who plans to retire in October after nine years in the position. Mitchell’s background includes ties to education technology companies as well as involvement in the Obama administration’s sanctions of Corinthian Colleges and ITT Technical Institute.
