College Degrees Lead to ‘Good Jobs’
Inside Higher Ed
New research from Georgetown University found that an increasing share of well-paying jobs require workers to have two- or four-year college degrees instead of high school diplomas. Bachelor’s degree holders have 55 percent of the nation’s well-paying jobs as of 2015, a number that is up from 40 percent in 1991. This is good news for institutions, as it solidifies the bachelor’s degree as the “gold standard” for professionals seeking higher salaries.
